Children from different families were victims of communal violence. Families from the Mabauram village whose houses were burnt by suspected Dimasa group now have taken shelter in Zeme cultural hall in Lodi village in Upper Haflong. Ethnic clashes are regularly taking place between Zeme Nagas and the Dimasa tribe in North Cachar Hills in Assam, India.
