Sanjit is an Indian photographer living between India and Malaysia.
Sanjit Das is a visual chronicler of modern day india whose keen interest in social issues is evident in his documentation of India's rapid transformation from rural economy to a global superpower. His work is focused on documenting the lives and conditions of both the new ‘indian consumer’ and also those who are being overlooked by this sweeping modernization.
Apart from working in stories emerging in India, Sanjit is spending a considerable amount of time photographing projects in South(south east) Asia region. His work is published internationally in, amongst others, Atlantic, Businessweek, Der Spiegel, Le Monde, IHT, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Newsweek, TIME.
Apart from working for editorial and commercial clients, Sanjit regularly works for development agencies and is available for commissions worldwide, ranging from covering news to documentary work.
